Our hostel is located directly on these pilgrimage routes :
- the Vézelay Route to Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port (and Santiago de Compostela)
- the Tour de Vézelay.
Vézelay route
The Vézelay Route (in French: "Voie de Vézelay") is about 900 km long.
From Vézelay there are two main routes: via Nevers and via Bourges. These come together after almost 300 km in the village of Gargilesse.
Our hostel is located directly on the route via Nevers.
The Vézelay Route is a relatively quiet route, with simple but sufficient facilities, small-scale accommodation (hostels managed by Confraternities of Saint James, municipalities, religious institutions and private persons), and home hospitality ('by pilgrims for pilgrims').
Read more: on the website of the Dutch Confraternity of Saint James (English). On that website you will find also downloads for the Vézelay route: itinerary and facilities (English; GPX, KML, PDF) and an English guide (PDF).

Tour de Vézelay
The Tour de Vézelay is a 140 km circular walk, from Vézelay and back, inspired by old and new pilgrimage routes. Our hostel is located directly on this Tour and on some shorter variants.

Star road
The Camino (= pilgrimage route) to Santiago is also called the 'Star road'.
A beautiful star road can also be admired above our inn on dark nights.
