Image Image The pilgrimage is a very practical undertaking and an ancient symbol for the journey through life. Every person makes his or her own unique journey, in search of oneself and one's role in the world. The word “pilgrim” comes from the Latin “per ager” (through the field) and “peregrinus” (stranger): the pilgrim leaves the familiar behind and travels to a holy place. The ancient Greeks made pilgrimages to the Temple of Apollo at Delphi, with their questions for the oracle. At the entrance, this message was carved: “Know thyself”.Even today, many pilgrims set out on their journey with questions. What is remarkable, is that the answers actually travel with them. They are within us, but are often drowned out by our routines, the lure of convenience, demands from our environment and the endless stream of events. How valuable it is to be able to listen to that inner voice along the way.Would you like to make your journey meaningful?
